If you use the official speedtest cli from speedtest.net you get much better results I also build a widget so you can trigger a test on the pfsense dashboard with a button, and if you just go to the dashboard see the result and test date/time of the last executed test. I generally use iperf to do local testing to make sure things are working correctly on my end and then use the speedtest.net cli to test out to the internet I usually manually set the test server to be one hosted by my isp since it’s testing the shortest path and there’s not much you can do about how your isps interconnects to other networks tbh
